Prof. Dr. Çetin KARACA
I was born on December 22, 1969 in Malatya. I completed my primary and secondary education in Malatya, respectively, at Fatih Primary School, Atatürk Secondary School, and Malatya High School. I started my medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and graduated in July 1993.
In the same year, I started my internal medicine education as an assistant at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Diseases. I became an Internal Medicine Specialist on March 8, 1998. In May 2000, I started a minor specialization in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Gastroentero-hepatology, and completed my minor specialization training on March 8, 2003 and became a gastroenterology specialist. I received the title of associate professor of gastroenterology in November 2006.
Prof. Dr. Çetin KARACA

Between September 2008 and April 2009, I worked as an endosonography research-fellow at the Harvard University Medical School Massachusetts General Hospital gastroenterology clinic, and during this time I made publications and wrote book chapters in the most prestigious journals of endoscopy. While I was working as the chief of Şişli Etfal Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic, I returned to Istanbul Medical Faculty Gastroenterohepatology Department in September 2009. I received the title of professor in June 2012. I have been serving my patients in my practice since 2014. I am married, have two children, and have an advanced level of English.
